May they be blotted out of the Book of life and not be listed with the righteous. Psalm 69:28
Thankfully there is a book of life, and God desires to have our names penned in His Book. David knew that some would continue in their evil ways and weren't interested in any book. The Book God has offered us is life.
When we realize our need for God, friends, God is always there, ready to fulfill His promises for our life. The life God desires to give us is fulfillment for eternity. He comes in as a Savior and forgives our sins, and offers new life in Christ. God brings to us what we can't do for ourselves. We can't take the pen and write our names in His Book of life, but He can.
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven." Luke 10:20
So if we can't write our names in this Book of life, then who can? Only Jesus provided the way for our salvation, and the cross reveals the way to the Book of Life. Will you today receive His salvation? When we believe in Jesus and ask Him into our life, the recording was put in the Book. There is no greater miracle than our salvation.
