The poor will see and be glad— you who seek God, may your hearts live! Psalm 69:32
The poor will see, and gladness will be their encouragement and strength. Do you need some joy in your life? So often, we try and find happiness and contentment in a noisy world. When we think we finally found what we were looking for -what we thought we needed the pleasure soon wears off. Many things pretend to offer fulfillment, but soon the thrill wears off, and the sorrow occurs.
The joy the heart needs is not another thrill or purchase; it is found in seeking God. The relationship God offers is one filled with joy that brings our heart the strength it needs to face the day. God offers this to those who seek Him for the pleasure and contentment for life. We may be forfeiting what God offers because we are trying to find it in all the wrong places.
Where are you going to find gladness in this world? Are you tired of trying to bring contentment to a restless heart? God has exactly what your heart is crying out for. He brings Himself right in the middle of all the striving and offers life to our hearts. Life is more than living from one experience or high to the next. Life is found in a relationship with the living God who pumps our hearts with joy.
