What are you saying?

I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. Psalm 71:16

What is the Psalmist proclaiming? He is bragging on God. His heart is exploding with the unforgettable acts of God. He can’t help but be a groupie for the Lord. The writer’s heart loved the Lord and naturally wanted God’s name to be famous, so he did his part.

What about us? Whose name are we trying to make famous? Words begin to form way before we say them. They are materialized in our hearts before they are dispelled. The factory that produces our word is the heart. If the heart is centered on ourselves, we will instinctively talk a lot about “me.”

The breaking of this power comes through humility. When eyes are turned upward, the result will change the heart. It begins today with allowing the heart to absorb in the mighty acts of God. Today the Lord woke us up and invited us into His day. What great action can you share today?

This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it Psalm 118:24
